Understanding Business

Your Business Name and Your Brand Name Don't Have to Be the Same Thing

A company can operate under a legal registered name while trading under a completely different brand name, subject to the applicable legal and registration requirements.

This gives entrepreneurs flexibility when building brands — the legal entity can remain stable while individual products, services or consumer brands evolve independently of the company's registered name.
